After years of research and detective work staff have reached a disturbing and unlikely conclusion – elephants on the reserve may be to blame and, what’s more, humans might ultimately be behind the catastrophe.

The films asks whether a well-intentioned human intervention in the 1990s has resulted in the unforeseen consequence that adolescent male elephants on the reserve without normal adult role models have become juvenile delinquents.

The parallels with human development are astonishing, and this documentary shows a side of to an animal we think we know well but in reality we’re only just beginning to understand.
