Knut was born on 5th December 2006 at Berlin Zoo.

The 23th March 2007 was dubbed "Knut Day", when the new-born Knut was first presented to the public.

Knut's parents were 13-year-old father Lars and former circus performer and 20-year-old mother Tosca.

Knut was raided by zookeeper Thomas Dörflein.
Adult Knut

Knut died on 19th March 2011 - suffering from encephalitis he unfortunately drowned in his pool.
