Our only view of real dinosaurs are left in the fossils that we uncover. However, that doesn't mean we can't imagine what they may have looked like in the flesh.

-
Fossil Theropod
This fossil of a theropod dinosaur exhibits the feather filaments that would go on to define its bird ancestors.
-
Tyrannosaur Skull
Tyrannosaurs are probably the most famous of the dinosaurs and their fossilised skeletons can be seen in museums around the world.
-
Sauropod and Pterosaur
Sauropods are characterised by their long neck and long tail. The pterosaur, a flying reptile, that can be seen in this image is not actually a dinosaur.
-
Diplodocus Fossil
Diplodocuses are the stereotypical sauropod with incredibly long and thin neck and tail. This fossil exhibits the top vertebrae of their neck and the peg like teeth for stripping vegetation off plants.
-
Plateosaurus
Plateosaurus' are one of the earliest dinosaurs.
-
Suchomimus
Suchomimus have a long crocodilian snout, perfect for catching fish.
-
Theropod Track
In the absence of bones, fossil track-ways can tell a lot about the animal that left them. This dinosaur was a three-toed theropod, with the distance between tracks and the depression highlighting the speed with which they are moving.
