A century ago, 250,000 wild orangutans roamed Borneo. Today only 20% remain. Hunted for food, shot by farmers, outcast by logging and caught in wildfires, they face extinction. This film joins married couple Argitoe Randing and Dr Karmele Sanchez on the frontline of a conservation war. They head an elite band of rescue workers who have devoted their lives to saving the orangutans they love. From dangerous trips into the forest to rescue trapped animals, to the tension of the emergency centre as medics fight to save lives, this film reveals hopeful stories of the fight to save this endangered species.
